Pinoleum

Pinoleum blinds are made of small strips of hardwood (we use Koto or Basswood) as the weft, sewn together with hardwearing polyester warp threads. The Pinoleum is painted in a range of colours, and then a suitable fabric binding is added to finish and strengthen the edges. Rails are mounted top and bottom and then rings are placed on the back/top face of the blind for cords to pass through (and microcables if used as roof blinds), the blind then operates like a roman blind.

The fabric has the benefit of allowing some vision through, whilst providing dappled shade and cutting glare. These blinds are a classic choice for a traditional conservatory or roof lantern, although also work well in contemporary spaces.
